I choose family photography because I love to serve mothers and their families.
Mothers who adore their children and want to leave behind a legacy, a feeling, for their children and their grandchildren after them.
My gift as a photographer is to document this memory and feeling of motherhood for you.
This is a feeling, an emotion paused in time that you can pass along.
If you don’t think photography is important, wait until it is all you have left. Harsh, intense…I know. But it’s the honest truth.
Photography is about time.
To savor and celebrate life. To feel the past, imagine the future and savor the N O W. To live fully and live more. These are stories that reveal who we are in this present moment: our depth, our essence.
As a daughter who had lost her father at the age of twenty, I can’t tell you the number of times I regret and wish I had photographs of me and my dad together. When all we have left is a photograph, you’ll be so glad you gave them that photo.
Do me a favor, will you?
Get in front of the camera more than you would like.
Think of your children and give them this gift that they will remember forever. Gift them the treasure of letting them know how much they were loved, cherished and adored by you. There is nothing more rewarding than photographing motherhood sessions.
The feeling, the bond, the emotion is unlike any other bond between family members. Whereas dads are more silly and fun in portraits with their kids, mothers are the heart of family portraiture. Documenting the soulful bonds between a mother and her child is the essence of why I do what I do. Besides babies and children’s portraiture, motherhood is my absolute favorite to photograph.
Get Into the Photos
In the end, all our children will have are memories and photos.
Do them a favor, will you? Remember to get in the pictures this year, mom.
Don’t wait for a perfect hair day. Or until you lose the extra baby weight. Just get in the photo. In the end, they will be thankful you did. They will be so grateful that they have a photographic image of them with their mother.
