Ever wondered where to go to write a book and get it published according to your astrocartography?
Hey there! I’m Helena, a professional astrocartographer and Hellenistic astrologer, specializing in the astrology of place and after having my first book published by a publishing house, and activating my career as an astrocartographer and teacher, I’m going to show you where to go to activate your best writing.

I always dreamed of writing a book, but I never thought I would actually do it. Writing a book is long process. It can be tedious. But certain latitude crossings and planetary lines can be helpful in that process.
Where we live influences not only how we feel, but also our motivation, discipline and creative inspiration. Where we live matters. Which is why astrocartography is so important and why I’m on a mission to teach this valuable skill to more people.
Certain A*C*G lines in astrocartography and specific activated houses in locational astrology are better for writing a book and getting it published. In this blog post, I want to share my own story and findings and why certain relocated houses and lines can support us in having more success.
The 3rd and 9th houses are considered the writing houses in astrology. The 3rd house is communication and daily writing, short form content. The 9th house is writing books, higher learning, publishing.
Having planets like Mercury (writing, speaking) and Jupiter (author, wisdom, knowledge, books) in these houses by relocating the chart to a new location can be especially helpful.
When these planets are in the 10th houses, 11th house or close to the MC, there can be career recognition for this work. (This is one of the reasons I’m so called to live near my Mercury MC A*C*G lines in New Zealand in 2025, which I’ve timed with my transiting Jupiter line – Cyclocartography!)
When I moved to France, not only is Jupiter (my benefic / most positive planet) in the 9th house of publishing, but in France, I am also ruled by Jupiter. When I relocate to France, I become a Pisces rising, with the ruler of Pisces (Jupiter) activated in the 9th house of publishing and teaching.
My Taurus sun also relocates to the 3rd house of writing.

When looking at your astrocartography to determine where to go to write a book, it’s important to also look at the paran lines. Certain latitude crossings, which I write about more in depth here, are really helpful for activating writing work specifically. Ideally being within 10 miles of a positive paran line can be super activating for writing work, preferably without any challenging paran lines within orb.
Paran lines can be felt up to 70 miles, so it’s important to use a measurement tool. Solar Maps on Solar Fire has a great measurement tool for measuring the distance between lines, and it’s the best software I recommend to anyone wanting to do astrocartography work.
Here are the best paran lines for writing
Jupiter Mercury paran lines
Mercury Uranus paran lines
Mercury Neptune paran lines (creative fiction, poetry)
Jupiter North Node paran lines
Mercury North Node paran lines
Mercury Sun paran lines
I share more details about the meanings of each paran line combination in my 7 week locational astrology course.
When I wrote my book in Corsica, I lived directly on a Sun Saturn paran which is very disciplined, self-motivated and focused on work projects. It’s less social and a little bit lonely (there’s an upside and downside to every planetary combination), but there is joy experienced in the work, love in the process. I actually quite liked the Sun Saturn energy, and I find a lot of my clients tend to work well with them.
As an astrocartographer, author and online teacher, I love that I get to work from anywhere…

There are many things to consider to determine how someone’s time will be in a given location. And in my locational astrology course I teach you step-by-step how to accurate read the story of place, from beginning to end.

Parans and relocated charts are equally as important as the A*C*G lines itself, and so when looking where to move, be sure to relocate the chart to your new location, look to Mercury and Jupiter, the 3rd and 9th houses as well as the parans nearby.
I hope this quick blog post shares some insights on where to go to write a book based on your astrocartography!
I love studying the chapters and places of a person’s destiny. And I’m far more fascinated by other people’s charts than my own. That’s why I love giving client readings. I’ve been passionately studying astrology for over 12 years but I uniquely specialize in astrocartography as it’s my favorite topics to explore in a person’s life biography. As a storyteller and seeker, I feel most at home uncovering the truth within a chart. And I’m so thrilled to be sharing what I’ve learned with you.
If you’d like to book a personalized one-on-one reading with me, where we go deeper on the map of your soul’s blueprint and look at the detailed themes that will emerge for you in those specific places in the world. You can learn more details and book an astrogeography reading with me here.
