This year Alex and I decided to begin a new Christmas tradition as a family: print our holiday cards using our photos from our yearly family portrait session. 

Printing family holiday cards is something I deeply believe in. It may seem like such a small, superficial thing to many but to me it symbolizes our family unit. Our family holiday card stands for something greater. It is part of our yearly legacy.

Memories, moments of our lives documented in photographs, printed in frames and on cards…it is why we hire a photographer every year. Because these moments of our lives, our love for one another deserves to be printed on quality paper and deserves to be looked at…..every.single.day. 

I refuse to let my memories collect dust in the bottom of a cardboard box and let my most joyful moments live on a hard drive. 

I Value Art and Printed Memories

I find immense value in tangible art. I’m that girl that will spend a lot of money on a handpainted work of art, a finished watercolor canvas, a gigantic coffee table book of Agnes Martin’s art. I’m that person that books a photo session every year with a photographer and I highly value the fine art of portrait photography.

I spend my earned dollars on printed cards and custom albums and quality wooden frames and photography prints and photo sessions with amazing photographers because it is what I value most: cherished life memories with my family and art.
