Scott and Amber’s Engagement Proposal in Strasbourg

On Monday, I photographed the sweetest couple get engaged on the last day of the 2019 Strasbourg Christmas market.

Scott contacted my photography studio after finding out that the ring he ordered would be ready to be picked up. Departing to Strasbourg from the U.S. just a few days prior, we quickly made arrangements for him to surprise his girlfriend, Amber Mariano, on a beautiful, peaceful bridge overlooking Saint Paul’s Church just a few minutes walk from the Strasbourg Christmas market in front of Palais Rohan. 

As I quietly snapped photos of him as he got down on one knee, I found myself tearing up (as I tend to do during emotional surprise proposals) and greeting them after she happily said yes! There were plenty of hugs, cuddles and kisses during their sweet engagement photo session, and I loved photographing those candid moments of her looking up at him in amazement and love. Plus, how gorgeous is that ring?!

When You Know, You Just Know

Amber and Scott met online not too long ago, and just like my husband and me (who also met online), it magically felt aligned and right.  As Amber and I chatted about during the photo session when you know you just know. 

It was beyond easy to photograph these two love birds, as they were both so natural and comfortable being affectionate in front of the camera. And it makes my job so much easier when my couples are giddy and happily in love! They were playful, lively and so very fun with one another throughout the session, and I am so overjoyed with how the full gallery turned out.

Scott did an incredible job surprising his girlfriend with his romantic engagement proposal in Strasbourg France.

Congrats Amber and Scott!! Happy 2020! What an amazing start to the decade it is.
