Here are the 5 questions you MUST ask before you book an astrocartography reading with an astrologer.

Because here’s the thing: we are in the astrocartography misinformation age.

A time where you can become Tik Tok astrology famous without ever opening a book! Thanks to social media popularity, anyone can become a working astrocartographer.

But does that popular social media creator actually know what they are talking about?

I have seen my fair share of professional astrologers and astrocartographers on social media share tips on where you should live. And I’ve been shocked and frustrated by the amount of astrologers that don’t know how to accurately read maps.

You’d be surprised how many popular social media astrologers don’t actually read books on the subject.

It’s appalling. And it’s partly why I’m so passionate about sharing this topic all across the internet: we need to wake up.

We need to wake ourselves up from the glamorization of social media, Tik Tok astrology, and Instagram influencing.

It’s take to take our power back. It’s time we have the knowledge for ourselves.

Locational astrology is to be taken seriously. Where you live matters. And it takes time and money to move.

If your astrocartographer isn’t trained, skilled or reads literature on the subject of astrocartography, your astrocartographer may just be highly skilled at marketing and social media influencing. No shade. But there are so many popular astrology Tik Tokers and Instagrammers that aren’t highly skilled in timing, reading charts and astrological mapping.

And there aren’t many astrologers calling out the BS online. But my Scorpio rising self will happily take the role in doing so, so you don’t waste your time and hard-earned money in the process.

Before your spend your money and hire someone, you need to email your astrocartographer these 5 questions.

5 Questions to Ask That Astrologer Before You Book an Astrocartography Reading

1.Does the astrocartographer use parans?

If they do not know what a paran is, do not book an astrocartography reading with them.

If your astrocartographer does not use parans and latitude crossings, and they are not measuring the accurate distance, do not book with them.

If your astrocartographer is using websites like Astro Dienst and not visibly seeing WHERE exactly, which exact cities and towns, and the mileage of those parans, they are not giving you an accurate reading.

Too many popular social media astrologers do not invest in professional software, and this is a problem because free websites do not have features that paid softwares have.

I personally bought a new laptop and Solar Fire so that I could work with integrity. Once I learned that Solar Fire could accurately and visibly show the paran lines, I could no longer in good faith give readings to my clients using Astro Gold (a profressional astrology software that while beautiful and has a seamless interface, does not show parans).

One difficult paran can show challenges in an area, regardless of what nice astrocartography line you’ll living near.

Ask your astrocartography in an email, “do you use parans?” If they do not use them, do not hire that astrocartographer. It’s a waste of your time and money. Parans are important, and I have had so many past astrocartography clients that live on beautiful Jupiter and Venus lines but are living on challenging parans and are having the most difficult time.

2.Does the astrocartographer use relocated charts?

Relocated charts are important because they show you what area of life those planets will be situated in. Moving east or west of a line can shift the energy, and moving north or south can show you how planets shift houses. These areas of life are important.

I have had so many clients book an astrocartography reading with me after working with another astrocartographer that didn’t use relocated charts. Stop wasting your money and ask these questions before you book a reading. It’s important.

3.Does the astrocartographer use a professional software?

A lot of astrocartographers use Astro.com or Astro-Seek.com. That’s okay. But there are many astrocartography features you don’t have on free websites, like a measuring tool where you can measure the exact mileage or degrees! Parans need to be visible for an accurate astrocartography reading. You should be able to have that information for your personal reference. Period.

Ask your astrocartographer “what software do you use in your client readings?”

And you can further ask, “will I be able to see the map, so I can have this information for further reference?”

You should be able to visibly see those latitude crossings, midpoints, timing (lines that move across your map and activate storylines) so you have that knowledge. Be empowered! Know what to look out for in your astrocartography reading.

4.Do they consider timing in the astrocartography reading?

Cyclocartography is a powerful skill you can combine with your astrocartography map. Have you ever wanted to know WHEN you should travel to that certain area? Being in the right place, at the right time, is my speciality. Place AND timing is where the magic happens. And you can use professional softwares that show the timing in locations around the world. I teach on this in my certification program, and I highly recommend asking your astrocartography if they look at the right timing to be in a location.

Going to a Venus ASC when Saturn ASC is transiting across that area would definitely not be as fun. 

5.Does the astrocartographer use the Tropical or Sidereal zodiac?

You will also want to ask the astrologer if they practice Eastern or Western astrology. Or if they use the tropical or sidereal zodiac. Different systems; different charts. You can also ask them, “what house system do you use?” I include this information at the very top of my READINGS page  so people aren’t confused when they book with me.

Be prepared and have that knowledge of what system your astrocartographer uses ahead of time, BEFORE your reading, so you’re not confused when you see your chart.

BONUS: Does the astrocartographer use local space?

Local space astrology is a separate system in relocation astrology.

There are three ways to look at location: astrocartography maps, relocated charts and local space.

It’s helpful to know exact cities, towns and neighborhoods that would be helpful for your client to consider, and also where they can travel from their new home base!

Don’t Book a Reading with Astrocartographer Until You Ask These Questions

Before you book that reading with the astrocartographer you heard about on Tik Tok or Instagram, shoot them an email or DM and ask these questions. Get that straight-forward honesty; know what you are getting in exchange for your money. It’s expensive to move and and travel. You should have full transparency with the information on your astrocartography map. You should know the parans that are in the area, and their exact distance.

You should see your relocated chart and see which house the sun relocates to if you decide to move to that new location.

Astrocartography has become a trend on social media.

And when something becomes trendy and popular, it then becomes simplified.

But locational astrology is not simple. There is more to your astrocartography map that free websites like Astro.com can’t show you.

If you don’t know astrology, you can’t read an astrocartography map.

The astrocartography map is a direct reflection of someone’s unique natal chart. One always has to look back at the birth chart. And this is why it’s important to invest in a reading with someone who is an actual astrologer and can read charts.
