When Denique mentioned that she wanted to do a lifestyle portrait session in Georgetown, along the canals of D.C., I leapt up at the chance! Washington D.C. has so many little nooks and crannies that are a photographer’s haven, and this local spot in Georgetown was at the top of my “Shoot a Portrait Session Here” list.
Denique is one of the most laid-back, relaxed, and down-for-anything people I know, and it doesn’t hurt that she is just crazy gorgeous! This strikingly beautiful lady made my job so easy, and we had a fun time wandering along the canals, getting eaten alive by mosquitos, and chatting about Jurassic World, her family, and online dating. I was so bummed to see that that canals near the colorful pink and blue houses along the canal were blocked off due to construction, as there were so many shots I was aiming to get with the water below. Deni was so easygoing that we wandered around to the Old Stone House and grabbed a cupcake at my favorite Baked and Wired to celebrate a fun and productive session! Thank you to my wonderful
client friend for such a peaceful, enjoyable and relaxed portrait session. Photographing you was a dream. Enjoy!!
