After a solid year of living in Washington D.C., I finally took my lazy self on the metro and marched for change! My boyfriend, Alex, and I marched and protested along with thousands of other activists who all care deeply about an end to gun violence and easy access to assault weapons. Keep in mind: I am perfectly fine with the 2nd amendment. I believe owning a gun is a right – but assault weapons and A15s? We should not be able to have easy access to military weapons. We need regulations. (And let’s be real: ones dos not need an M4 to hunt.) I try not to write about my political opinions on my blog, unless it involves animals or our beloved planet earth, but after seeing these mass shootings occur year after year, I think we all can say that enough is enough.
Here are some photos from our day at the March for Our Lives event. March 24, 2018
