I used to say I was a photographer but now I understand my role to be so much deeper: Reflector. Archivist. Chronicler.
In essence, I am a storyteller. I believe in sharing stories that elevate the simple joys around us. I recognize how temporary life is, how fleeting these moments and stages are in a person's life. Because of this awareness, I deeply value the importance of living life fully, loving others deeply and preserving my most cherished relationships through timeless, meaningful portraits. I find my greatest passion is in telling the stories and legacies of families that matter, for your story is so worthy of being shared.
I believe that children are magic, that they have much to teach us about the world, and that there is always time for play, wonder and curiosity in our lives. My purpose is in documenting the life and light I see around me, celebrating the energy of the now, and placing a beautifully printed, finished piece of artwork in the hands of my clients. If you value high-quality art and a custom studio experience, we'd be perfect for each other! I'd be so honored to document your story.
In 2016, I opened up my boutique children's studio in NYC, uniquely specializing in modern classic family, newborn and children's portraiture. Since then, I've photographed families across Europe and America, begun incorporating pet photography and opened the studio's Signature Session collection line for families looking to design and compliment their home with custom art of their loved ones.
I keep my sessions fun, consistent, and efficient while observing those honest moments that naturally occur between people. My goal is to create stunning works of art that will stand the test of time, and I personally value quality and attention to detail in this experience, offering my clients exquisite handcrafted albums and matted prints to preserve each custom collection as art for your home.
a letter from
I'm Helena, and I am madly in love with life.
To savor and celebrate life. To feel the past, imagine the future and savor the N O W. To live fully and live more. These are stories that reveal who we are in this present moment: our depth, our essence. Photography is about time.
To savor life.
